PhD. study

Conditions for acceptance to DS:

After the announcement of the admission procedure it is necessary to fill in the application form for PhD. (form ŠEVT 493990) at the secretariat of the Institute of Materials Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and to bring a CV, a certified copy of the diploma or a certificate of graduation in the case of new graduates. In the application form, interested candidates usually apply for one of the listed thesis to a specific supervisor.

Successful completion of the admissions interview (held in June); the admissions procedure is closed to the public before a multi-member committee. On the basis of the admission interview, the committee will determine the ranking of successful candidates who have met the required criteria.

After successful examination and admission, doctoral candidates will be granted preferential financial conditions for doctoral studies.

The start date for doctoral studies is normally 1 September.

Doctoral studies can be taken either full-time, for which no fees have yet been set, or part-time, where all expenses are covered by the employing organisation.

For more detailed information about doctoral studies, please contact Ms. Terézia Rácová, phone: +421 55 792 2404, e-mail: tracova@saske.sk
