Student Scientific Conference of Faculty of Science UPJŠ

On April 17, 2024, Faculty of Science UPJŠ organized the Student Scientific Conference to find the best research work of the academic year 2023/2024. 78 works of the bachelor and master students entered in this year’s competition, who presented their research in one of 14 sections.

Students led by supervisors from the IEP SAS were among the awarded as well (all results):

1st place: Bc. Natália Potomová (Section: Condensed matter physics)
„Direct experimental evidence of two-gap superconductivity in the La3Se4 system”
Supervisor: Mgr. Pavol Szabó, CSc.

2nd place: Peter Dubecký (Section: Condensed matter physics)
„Design of an iterative convolutional algorithm for the correction of the course of the diffraction profile”
Supervisor: RNDr. Jozef Bednarčík, PhD.

3rd place: Bc. Tomáš Bíró (Section: Biophysics)
„Self-assembly of spider protein-DNA bioconjugates“
Supervisor: Ing. RNDr. Katarína Šipošová, PhD.
