Seminar: IEP SAS Best basic research results of 2020
Dear colleagues
We would like to cordially invite you to seminar, which will take place on April 15, 2021 at 11AM: https://uefsav.webex.com/meet/gabani
Mgr. Pavol Szabó, CSc. will present a lecture about “Superconductivity in strongly disordered systems close to Superconductor-Insulator transition point” (abstract).
In the attached picture one can observe typical tunneling spectra obtained by STM in the strongly disordered thin films MoC with mean thickness of 3nm, which have been published by M. Žemlička, et al., PHYSICAL REVIEW B 102, 180508(R) (2020):
a) temperature dependence of tunneling spectrum in zero magnetic field (superconducting features diminish at critical temperature Tc = 3.9 K).
b) influence of the perpendicular magnetic field on the tunneling spectrum, obtained at T = 0.5 K (at upper critical magnetic field Bc = 6.3 T, the superconducting features are not suppressed but a new magnetic field dependent effect starts to occur).
c) detail of the tunneling spectra dependencies indicate presence of the Zeeman split of gap structure.
We are looking forward to seeing you.
Best regards
Slavo Gabáni
(scientific secretary of the IEP SAS)
