Science and Technology Awards for Institute of Experimental Physics SAS

On November 7, 2019, scientists and researchers were presented the Science and Technology Awards by Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic Martina Lubyova. The official ceremony took place within the Science and Technology Week in the Slovak Republic.

This year’s Science and Technology Award in the category Popularizer belongs to RNDr. Mária Zentková, CSc. “For her long-term work as science popularizer via such events as Pastelková fyzika (“Crayon Physics”), Krotitelia myšlienok (“Thoughtbusters”) and most notably Vedecký brloh (“Science Lair”).”

Group led by Doc. RNDr. Zuzana Gažová, CSc. has been awarded the Science and technology team of the year “For their scientific contribution in the field of amyloid aggregates of proteins and identification of substances suitable for treatment of diseases linked to amyloid aggregates of proteins.”
