President Peter Pellegrini visited CERN

During the celebration of its 70th anniversary, CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, hosted a high-level special ceremony attended by 38 national delegations, including heads of state and government from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Italy, Latvia, Serbia, and Switzerland, Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium and the President of the European Commission. In addition to the national delegations, many scientific, political, and economic leaders participated in the celebrations. The event took place at the Science Gateway, CERN’s new center for education and outreach.
