Our activities during Researchers’ Night

Our Institute joined again the Researchers’ Night which took place on September 27, 2019.

Centre of Low Temperature Physics arranged two stands: “Superconductivity and low temperatures” and “Fun with vacuum” which were organized by PhD student Miroslav Marcin and his department colleagues – Zuzana Vargaeštoková, Jozef Kačmarčík, Olexander Onufriienko, Marcel Človečko, Marek Kuzmiak and Michal Kopčík. They were joined by university students Július Bačkai, Kamil Goliaš and Mária Gabániová.

Members of Department of Space Physics Šimon Mackovjak, Marián Putiš and Pavol Bobík informed about their space activities at the “Space::Lab“ stand.

“Proteins as we don’t know them” stand, organized by members of Biophysics Department Andrea Antošová, Zuzana Bednáriková, Miroslav Gančár a Barbora Spodniaková opened the doors for the public to the world of proteins.

Researchers’ Night also offered interesting talks by Peter Skyba and Pavol Bobík. Pavol Szabó as a member of the organizing committee coordinated and hosted popularization talks.
