Nobel Prize in Physics for 2022 was awarded to the Frenchman Alain Aspect, the American John Clauser and the Austrian Anton Zeilinger. A trio of scientists is engaged in the research of quantum physics and will receive the award for experiments with entangled photons, as announced today by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm.

Scientists have conducted pioneering experiments with entangled quantum states, in which two particles behave as a single unit even when they are separated from each other. With these experiments, scientists showed the way to new technologies based on quantum information, as said by decision of the Swedish Academy.
