KOZMOS: Wormholes and time travel

1241

The journey into the past may seem like a subject of a sci-fi novel. However, research of the international team of theorists led by Slovak scientist Richard Pinčák showed that using a wormhole and space in the form of a Möbius tape would make this possible. It would not even violate the principle of causality. This topic is one of the main ones in the latest issue of the well-known bimonthly KOZMOS (5/2021).

How many times in our lives have you told yourself, “If I could go back in time…” Everything would be different, of course, better. Ideal if we could go back in time with today’s knowledge and experience. Without knowing the history, we would probably have made the same mistake that made us want to correct the past. And who knows, maybe we have travelled back so many times that we live in the best possible presence… What if time travel was really possible? Would we use it? In this article, the authors have tried to summarize in a popular way the physical possibilities of traveling (not only) over time and bring a new perspective on this problem, given the existence of negative dimensions.
