The Slovak device, developed by scientists from Košice, has been traveling through Space as part of the Bepi Colombo project since 2018. The joint mission of the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) was supposed to reach orbit of the Mercury this year. Engine failure caused its deviation and the rendezvous is scheduled almost a year later. In the meantime, it has come a long way and has overcome several milestones.
