DoktoGrant scholarship awarded to the PhD students of Institute of Experimental Physics
On January 24, 2020, President of the Slovak Academy of Sciences prof. RNDr. Pavol Šajgalík, DrSc. and member of the Presidium prof. RNDr. Ľubica Lacinová, DrSc. presented decrees on the grant award to successful applicants of the 1st call of the program Grants for PhD students.
Program DoktoGrant has been established by the Slovak Academy of Sciences as a way to support science projects of the PhD students at the institutes of SAS. The main goal is to support high quality project proposals which will be realized during one year within the course of PhD studies.
Grant proposal may be submitted by any full-time PhD student who will be attending PhD studies during the full calendar year (1 January – 31 December) following the year of the call. The study has to be realized at the institutes of SAS as a external educating institution.
31 out of 88 submitted projects were awarded the Grant (Section 1 – Physical, Space, Earth, and Engineering Sciences: 8; Section 2 – Life, Chemical, Medical, and Environmental Sciences: 19; Section 3 – Social Sciences, Humanities, Arts, and Culture: 4) and will be realized at the institutes of SAS between January 1 and December 31, 2020. Two PhD students of the Institute of Experimental Physics, RNDr. Katarína Zakuťanská a RNDr. Vladimír Vaník, were among the successful applicants. Congratulations!
Out of 31 supported projects, 29 were granted the amount of 2000 EUR and 2 were granted 1000 EUR. The total amount reserved for the projects was 60 000 EUR.
