Great success of the SOŠA students

2048

Last week, the 16th annual ENERSOL SK competition took place in Senica, which traditionally focuses on topics such as alternative and renewable energy sources and reducing emissions in transport. The competition is held in three categories for students from secondary schools, vocational schools, and grammar schools, with the aim of supporting and identifying talented and gifted high school students, developing their creative competencies, theoretical knowledge, and practical skills and abilities.

Students from the Stredná odborná škola automobilová (SOŠA, Automotive Vocational Secondary School) in Košice – Jozef Ölschläger and Michal Škorec, under the guidance of their teachers and Dr. Daniela Volochová from the Department of Materials Physics at Institute of Experimental Physics SAS – represented their school with the project “Functional Model of a Public Transport Vehicle Based on Superconducting Levitation” and achieved an excellent 1st place in the creative category at the national round.

We sincerely  congratulate them and wish them the best of luck at the international exhibition ENERSOL EU 2026, which will take place on April 22–23, 2026, this year in Senica.
