This year’s European Researchers’ Night did not take place on the last Friday in September as usual, but it will be organized the last Friday in November, i.e. November 27, 2020.<\/p>\n
This year’s motto is – “Science without borders”. The main program of the\u00a0European Researchers’ Night in Slovakia will take place between<\/strong> 9AM and 9:30PM in the Online studio.<\/strong> Throughout the day, visitors can look forward to live scientific show, engaging lectures, discussions on current scientific topics and a light show.<\/p>\n Besides the online studio, 16 webinars\u00a0<\/strong>within the Science without Borders<\/strong> will be aired\u00a0between 1PM and 9PM\u00a0<\/strong>for all fans of science and research. \n<\/strong>This new concept will bring experiments and experiential science directly to schools and students, thus replacing experiments that will not be possible to experience at festival venues. Schools have sent a total of 386 applications with requests for these science kits, far exceeding our expectations.<\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>For the first time in Slovakia, this unique concept will connect scientists directly with schools. 49 applications from scientists were registered and 27 schools expressed interest in lectures of a scientist via online education. More than 17 virtual presentations of researchers have been agreed.<\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>During the European Researchers’ Night, the Stories Against Prejudices<\/a> project will be realized\u00a0at four schools in cooperation with The Institute for Research in Social Communication at SAS and the Milan \u0160ime\u010dka Foundation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
